Indian head massage is based on an ancient Indian healing system called Ayurveda. This massage technique has been practiced for over a thousand years. The massage is calming, yet revitalizing working on the upper back, neck, shoulder, face and scalp.
Indian Head Massage can help eyestrain, headaches, promote hair growth, improve concentration (by improving blood flow to the scalp), stimulates lymphatic drainage to the head and neck, boost hair health, relieve shoulder tension, increase neck mobility, calm the mind and ease emotional stress.
This massage is given while the client is fully clothed sitting in a chair or may be added to a table massage as strokes have been adapted to the table. As far as Lolita knows, she is the only one who has created Indian Head Massage strokes for the table as the tradition is only for sitting in a chair. She did this as numerous students asked for table adaptations.
Pressure points are stimulated during the massage. Oil is optional. Sweet almond and coconut is good for dry hair and scalp. Sesame oil is beneficial for dry flaky scalp. However, Lolita will have organic Ayurveda herbal scalp oil from Solavedi for the class.
Learn a method that will totally bliss out your clients while giving them gentle relief from physical ailments. Great to add to a regular chair massage or for geriatric clients confined to a wheelchair and also for extra hand saving stokes for your table massage.

“Fijian To Go” is designed to be a very mobile barefoot technique to have for a sporting event, family setting, massage office and other massage opportunities such as corporate massage. A minimum of equipment and supplies are needed for this method and most can be offered while therapist is sitting on a chair or sofa and even while therapist is lying down. The focus areas to be massaged are the back, shoulders, gluteals and legs.
The Fijian Massage does not include walking on client's back.
All strokes can be done standing or sitting in a chair as the weight of your leg gauges the pressure. No hands, arms or shoulders are ever used with any aspect of Fijian Massage making it truly a “hands saving” technique.
Fijian Massage is a method where therapists use 9 different parts of their own feet to effectively massage clients who are lying on padded cushions on the floor. The main benefit of Fijian Massage is that it “saves the therapist's hands” thereby increasing the number of “injury free” hours worked per day. This can raise the number of clients seen per day plus adding to your career longevity. In addition, it helps clients to recover faster from muscle injuries and most clients prefer the more gentle pressure with the heel of the foot being utilized instead of the elbow.

This technique is simple to learn and it does not involve any physical touch. Rather it utilizes the energy field that extends up to 2 inches beyond the skin. This field becomes unbalanced with illness, stress or injury. Students will learn how to identify the imbalances that can be felt in their own hands as tingling, cold, heaviness or vacuum.
Therapists will then learn how to use their hands as a focus over the client's body to gently manipulate the body's energy field back to a state of balance and health.
Students will also learn to work with a crystal to detect imbalances and correct them.
EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT: $120 if enrolled by September 9, 2011, after $140
